Bozhena Fisher, DDS, FAAPD
Dr. Bozhena Fisher believes that good oral health is a gateway to overall well-being. Dr. Fisher focuses her practice on prevention by building awareness about the latest preventive methods available. She puts every child a ease by making each visit positive and rewarding for the entire family.
Dr. Fisher graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a major in Biology, and subsequently obtained her dental degree from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2008. She went on to complete her pediatric dental residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the primary teaching hospital of Yale School of Medicine. She received extensive training infants and children through adolescence, including those with special needs. Dr. Fisher is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
She shares her expertise in the field of pediatric dentistry by serving as a part-time Clinical Faculty member at the UCLA School of Dentistry where she teaches both dental students and pediatric dental residents.
Dr. Fisher’s pride and joy is being a mom to her baby girl, Laurie. Becoming a new mom energized her passion for practicing dentistry with a child-centered approach, being sensitive to needs and temperaments of her young patients. In her free time, Dr. Fisher enjoys tennis, yoga, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Eddie Surger, DDS, FAAPD
Dr. Eddie Surger is passionate about providing the latest and best practices in pediatric dental care and prevention. He is dedicated to creating positive experiences and building a foundation of trust with his young patients and their parents using a kind, gentle and compassionate approach to dental care.
Dr. Surger obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychobiology graduating Summa Cum Laude from University of California, Los Angeles. Upon receiving his D.D.S. from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2009, he was presented with top honors and multiple awards including the prestigious American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Doctoral Award. He went on to complete a two-year postgraduate pediatric dental residency at UCLA and Mattel Children’s Hospital. Dr. Surger is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Surger enjoys teaching, and has been selected as a member of the UCLA Pediatric Dentistry Clinical Faculty. Dr. Surger gives back to the community by volunteering in local dental clinics for underserved children as well as participating in charitable events in the surrounding communities.
Dr. Surger is delighted to reside in Orange County with his wonderful and talented wife, Dr. Fisher, and their baby daughter, Laurie. In his free time, Dr. Surger enjoys playing tennis, running, swimming, road biking, and competing in triathlons.
Leslie Aspis, DMD
Dr. Leslie Jane Aspis chose pediatric dentistry in order to provide children with a loving and gentle introduction to a lifetime of good oral care. Her goal is creating a cavity free generation by starting at age one and educating parents on both oral hygiene and nutritional choices to insure beautiful smiles.
Following completion of her dental education, Dr. Aspis practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in both New York City and Marin County, California. After relocating to Southern California, she joined the faculty of University of Irvine School of Medicine where she assisted in the training of the family medicine residents in oral health issues. Additionally, She treated underserved children at the university affiliated clinic. At this time, she decided to continue her education at a two year post doctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California. Her residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Long Beach Memorial Children’s Hospital included training in pediatric growth and development, pediatric psychology, Pediatric anesthesia, genttics and pediatric advanced life support.
Dr. Aspis has served as past president for the California component of the American Society of Dentistry for Children, and as a state board member of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She currently serves as an active member on the California Dental Association specialty peer review committee for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Aspis has published, including an article in the California Pediatrician Journal on early childhood caries prevention. She has lectured to professional societies on treating children with autism and smoking cessation.
Dr. Aspis is a native New Yorker, and although she still loves her home town, she equally enjoys life in Newport Beach. Her free time is devoted to her wonderful daughter and family. Her interests include international travel, continuing education, politics and reading. She supports Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal welfare organization. She is an active member of National Childrens Oral Health Foundation – and organization that provides education and dental care for underserved children without access to dental care.
